In March 2024 the Whippet Breed Health Fund was created. The health of our breed is of paramount importance and we are committed to ensuring accessible funds are available to support health matters. The Health Fund will be utilised for activities including the following;
- Subsidised health testing
- Production and analysis of health surveys
- Maintaining health databases
- Providing literature, online resources and educational material
- Health seminars (both in person and online)
- Research
There will be regular fund raising events throughout the year, with some super prizes on offer. We will also be advertising subsidised health testing sessions on this page. Please check back regularly for details.

The National Whippet Association runs the ‘Sarah Pirie Heart Fund’ in memory of their late Chairperson. Over the last few years, they have been able to provide significant financial support to heart testing and will continue to do so.
We are all working together to safeguard the health of our breed and hope that you will support both the Health Fund and the Sarah Pirie Heart Fund.
